I am a Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist with over 25 years of dedicated experience working with children in various capacities. I became a Newborn Care Specialist in 2021 after completing comprehensive training with Newborn Care Solutions. The following year, I pursued further education and training with DONA to become a certified postpartum doula. More recently, I participated in additional training with Prodoula to expand my knowledge and skills as a postpartum doula and to ensure that I remain informed about the latest practices and insights in the field. I firmly believe that support during the postpartum period is absolutely crucial for families as they navigate this significant transition. Each family's needs are unique, and I tailor my support accordingly. During a daytime shift, I can assist by preparing light, healthy meals, tidying up the home environment, managing laundry, and providing care for the baby as well as any siblings. During an overnight shift, I focus on complete care of the baby, which allows parents to get the much-needed rest they deserve. Additionally, I offer breastfeeding support and general feeding support, guidance on establishing sleep schedules, and gentle sleep shaping when it is developmentally appropriate for the infant.
